Job Description:
The role:
* Promote the organisation's QHSE policies and procedures.
* Maintain and improve the organisation's positive QHSE culture.
* Support the organisation on all QHSE matters and empower continuous improvements in relation to QHSE.
* Office based with travel for site audits.
Your job will include:
* Communication and consultation with employees on all matters in relation to QHSE.
* Undertake site audits, desktop audits, and internal management system audits.
* Investigate accidents, dangerous occurrences, and review trend analysis, recommending means of preventing reoccurrence.
* Produce reports for accident/incident analysis and recommendations.
* Produce risk assessments and complete reviews regularly.
* Identify and regularly review procedures to prevent injury and/or ill health to personnel and damage to equipment.
* Enforce legal compliance affecting Health, Safety, and Welfare and the provision of adequate welfare facilities.
* Compliance checks on equipment and PPE.
* Review safety legislation register, codes of practice, and new safety literature.
* Sub-contractor H&S reviews.
* Assist with PQQs and attend client QHSE reviews.
* Administration of accreditation bodies' online systems.
* Regularly review any training needs from around the organisation.
* Ensure maintained CPD with relevant professional bodies.
* Consider the environmental impact of all activities and reduce carbon footprint.
Experience:
* NEBOSH General Certificate in Health and Safety.
* Site audit and inspections.
* Producing and reviewing risk assessments, policies, procedures, and safe systems of work.
* Accident and incident reporting and investigation.
* Knowledge and experience of ISO standards.
* Good communication at all levels within an organisation and with customers.
* Delivery of toolbox talks, bulletins, and other forms of communication.
* Use of IT systems such as Outlook, Word, and Excel.
* Use of auditing programs such as iAuditor.
