Business System Analyst – Full Time – Belfast cNegotiable REED Technology Belfast are delighted to partner with our client, an industry leader in Educational Services, who due to continued growth and expansion are seeking to recruit a Business Systems Analyst to join their team for an initial 12 month period The Business Systems Analyst will play a key role in understanding and improving our organisation's business processes systems. The primary responsibility will be to analyse, document, and recommend solutions. Key Responsibilities: Business Applications: Collaborate with staff, volunteers, and management to gather requirements Analyse existing business systems and processes to identify areas for improvement Develop detailed specifications for new systems and enhancements. Develop high quality systems and process documentation. System Design and Implementation: Design and implement solutions that optimise business processes Oversee the implementation of new systems or updates to existing systems Design and implementation of suitable testing and quality assurance processes. Work with external vendors and internal teams to customize and deploy systems. Data Management and Reporting: Manage and analyse data from various systems, ensuring that accurate, up-to-date reports are generated Design and implement self-service reporting tools Ensure that all appropriate data, trends, statistics, performance measures are gathered, analysed, and communicated in furtherance of the organisation’s strategy. Training and Support: Provide training to staff on the use of new or updated systems, ensuring that all team members are equipped to leverage technology effectively. Provide technical support for systems and software, troubleshooting issues as they arise. Act as point of escalation for the IT Service Desk. Project Management: Lead and coordinate IT-related projects, from planning to execution, ensuring they meet deadlines and stay within budget. Regularly report on project progress and outcomes to senior management and stakeholders. Contribute to and co-ordinate risk management for business applications. Compliance and Information Security: Ensure that systems adhere to data privacy regulations and nonprofit sector compliance standards (e.g., GDPR). Ensure information security is considered in the earliest stages of systems design and throughout the system development lifecycle. Identify potential risks related to information security and implement best practices for system and information security. Be aware and act in accordance with Technology and Information Security policies. Contribute to monitoring and review of relevant Early Years policies. Ensure compliance with necessary recording requirements and responsibility for accurate and timely completion of relevant department records and databases. Monitor and control access to business applications. Essential Criteria: HND/Degree in Business/ Information Technology, or a related field 3 years experience as a Business Systems Analyst or applications support. Strong understanding of business processes and experience working with CRM, ERP Working knowledge of data analytics, reporting, and dashboarding tools.
