Deputy Manager Childrens Residential Home

Salary:£35,000 per annum
Hours:Full-time, 40 hours per week. Rota can be provided, includes two weekends per month. Working week consists of two 13-hour days supplemented by two 7-hour days.
Setting:6-Bed Home, currently with 3 residing between 13 to 15 year olds.

We are seeking a dedicatedDeputy Managerto join a highly committed team at a childrens home in Middlesex looking to help improve the performance of the setting.
About the Role
As aDeputy Manager, you will:
* Assist the Registered Manager in maintaining the smooth and effective running of the home.
* Lead by example, managing and guiding the team to deliver exceptional care to children and young people.
* Support childrens physical, psychological, and emotional development in a safe and nurturing environment.
* Ensure the home complies with regulatory requirements, including Childrens Homes Regulations and Quality Standards.
* Step into the Managers role during absences, maintaining the home to a high standard.
* Oversee staff rotas, training, supervision, and performance management.
* Act as a mentor to staff, fostering their professional growth and confidence.
* Manage behaviours that challenge and guide staff in effective strategies.
* Monitor and maintain accurate records and reports, ensuring they meet statutory requirements.

About You
To be successful, you will:
* Have at least 2 years experience working in a childrens home, with supervisory responsibilities.
* Hold a Level 3 Diploma in Health and Social Care with Children and Young People.
* Demonstrate a strong understanding of the Childrens Homes Regulations, safeguarding, and inspection frameworks.
* Have experience supporting children with learning disabilities and communicating effectively to understand their wishes and feelings.
* Possess excellent leadership, organisational, and communication skills, both written and verbal.
* Be proficient in Microsoft Office; experience with Clearcare Solutions is advantageous.
* Hold a full UK driving licence.
