Education and Training
£20 - £30 per hour
Responsibilities
* Provide tailored English and Maths tutoring to Key Stage 3 students with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs
* Develop individualised learning plans to support students' academic progress and emotional well-being
* Monitor and assess student progress, adjusting teaching strategies as needed
* Collaborate with school staff and parents to ensure a supportive learning environment
* Maintain accurate records of student performance and attendance
Qualifications
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
* Bachelor's degree in Education or relevant field
* Minimum of 2 years of experience in teaching English and Maths at KS3 level
* Experience working with students with SEMH needs
* Strong knowledge of the KS3 English and Maths curriculum
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Understanding of SEMH challenges and effective teaching strategies
* Ability to differentiate instruction to meet diverse learning needs
* Proficient in using assessment data to inform instructional decisions
* Additional training in behaviour management techniques
Additional Information
* Work primarily in the learners' home or community setting
* Collaborative work with school staff and parents
