Job Overview:
Our clients are a leading bioethanol and animal feed producer, part of AB Sugar within the Associated British Foods group. Their plant operates 24/7 to deliver high-quality bioethanol and animal feed, with an emphasis on innovation and asset reliability.
We're looking for an E&I Maintenance Planner to lead the Maintenance Process (Planning) team and deliver planned work to enable scheduling of 100% of working hours available on a weekly basis, also driving a 6-week work execution plan and to support upcoming Interventions & TARs.
Ensures that Work Orders are fully specified, within the timescale derived by Priority Matrix (VMP), with individual steps identified with Risk Assessment Method Statements (RAMS) fully prepared and all tools, equipment and spares required to complete the task available to enable safe and on-time execution.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Implementing and maintaining high standards of safety suitable for an upper tier COMAH site.
2. Drive the VMP from a planning perspective to support optimised continuous production activities and prevent loss of throughput and/or efficiency that might affect commercial profit and loss.
3. Plan for upcoming interventions and TAR's.
4. Review work orders for completeness and return work orders to gatekeeper if incomplete.
5. Review work order for adequate definition of required solution, liaise with the Technical Team as required if adequate further technical solution definition is required.
6. Use, where possible, an archived plan for basis of actual plan.
7. Identify task parts, activities, tools, services and equipment necessary to execute job.
8. Prepare work packs, detailing parts, services, resource, duration and cost data in CMMS.
9. Prepare Risk Assessment Method Statement (RAMS) including Permit Request.
10. Use "quality feedback" from the Technician to optimise the WO contents and then archive job plans.
11. Maintain the Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to plan all maintenance and engineering work on site.
12. Plan work to fill a "six-week schedule" making the most effective and efficient use of available resources together with making dynamic decisions based on operational needs.
13. Plan On Site and Off Site maintenance disciplines, to ensure the optimum time to perform jobs for PM and statutory compliance and maximum efficiency are achieved consistently.
14. Liaise with Maintenance Assistant/Stores and Procurement for material/spares and repair status till received by the maintenance department.
15. Analyse CMMS metrics and provide reports on resource utilisation.
16. Provide input into any staffing changes that may be necessary based on historical trends and forecasts.
17. Develop outage/shutdown planned work as necessary to optimise workflow.
18. Maintain and manage weekly and monthly metrics, logs and records to assist in KPI tracking.
19. Work closely and develop good working relationships with external support companies to deliver requirements for 24/7 operations.
20. Seek out and specify isolation envelopes to enable safe execution of work.
21. Understand the MAPP - Major Accident Prevention Policy - POL-HSE-001.
22. Have an awareness of the ISO management systems that the company adheres to for Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental, Energy and Quality Management (ISO 45001, ISO 14001, ISO 5001 & ISO 9001).
Qualifications and Skills:
1. NVQ level 3 Qualified in a relevant discipline.
2. Previous exposure to an upper tier COMAH site.
3. Experience in maintenance planning.
4. Experience working with CMMS systems (AX Dynamics preferable).
5. Ability to interpret OEM manuals, data sheets and various other drawings in order to present the required information to the technicians to enable work execution.
