Required as soon as possible, we are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Registred Care Manager. We are recruiting an experienced and passionate Registered Care Manager to take the lead role in the launch of a new provision. The candidate should have a minimum 2 years’ experience of working with children and young people in residential setting in the last five years. As well as having a proven track record of leadership and direct management experience of supervision, appraisals and staff development for at least one year. It is desirable for candidate to have Level 5 in Leadership and Management qualification. The successful candidate will: Take a lead role in ensuring Statement of Purpose accurately reflects the ethos and stated aims of the home and is regularly reviewed and updated. Oversee the day to day running of the Children’s Home and safety of young people utilising the services and sign off Staff Rota on the agreed cycle with the Deputy Manager. Lead a team of care workers, in conjunction with relevant legislation and guidance. Ensure correct compliance with Regulations 2015 including those matters that require Ofsted notifications. Manage and co-ordinate the delivery of individual packages of support for the children and young people. Make sure that care plans meet identified needs of children, which are regularly reviewed and are outcome focused. Ensure good outcomes are achieved for young people within the home to meet their physical, psychological, emotional and social development. Have responsibility to fulfil all requirements under Children’s Homes Regulation 2015, and Quality Standards. Oversee recruitment and retention of staff to ensure compliance with Children’s Homes Regulations 2015 and National Minimum Standards. Monitor the implementation of Policies and Procedures and Guidance. Ensure all staff are aware and adhere to these and take appropriate action to address any shortfalls including training, performance improvement plans and disciplinary procedures. Write care plans, organisation around referrals and matching, staff management and training, liaising with social workers and family members of young people. Have performance management system in place to audit comprehensively in line with Children’s Homes Regulations 2015, and Quality Standards, Regulation 44, Ofsted Inspections, Regulation 45 Reports etc. Have a proactive response to resolving complaints at an early stage. Ensure financial budgets are proactively managed, service costs are within agreed levels, offer best value and meet authority’s and financial regulations.
