Level 3 Mechanical Engineering Apprentice
HycAero's primary focus is the application of specialised & technologically advanced coatings for aircraft, manufactured & produced for the civil, defence & commercial aerospace industry. The Technical Support Technician works as part of a team to provide technical support & expertise for all areas of the Engineering & Manufacturing function.
The wage is £7.55 per hour plus 20% bonus paid quarterly, this equates to £16,489.20 per annum.
Training course: Engineering technician (level 3)
Hours: Monday to Thursday 8.00am – 4.30pm, Friday 8.00am - 12.15pm.
35 hours a week.
Duration: 4 years.
Work
Most of your apprenticeship is spent working. You’ll learn on the job by getting hands-on experience.
What you’ll do at work
The Technical Support Technician works as part of a team to provide technical support and expertise for all areas of the Engineering and Manufacturing function including communications software, test, analysis tools, measurement, off line programming, process control, performance and continuous improvement solutions, capacity planning, production scheduling/planning, product technical applications and capability, technical sales and marketing support, product development and innovation, engineering drawing, purchasing and/or supply of goods or services for engineering activities, quality control, inspection and e-commerce technologies as required.
The apprentice will be taking responsibility for the quality, accuracy and timely delivery of the work they undertake. They will be proactive in finding solutions to problems and identifying areas for improving the business.
