We are very excited to be able to offer a new Band 3 Physio Technician role to work in the new M-block at Frimley Park as part of the medical respiratory team. You will be working alongside respiratory specialist physios to deliver rehabilitation, routine assessments following proformas and non clinical tasks.

• To work under the indirect supervision of Physiotherapists in providing a high standard physiotherapy service on the General medical wards.
• After a period of training, to work with a specified caseload, with no direct supervision of a Physiotherapist.
• To participate in continued personal development and other departmental activities.
• After a period of time in the post, to deliver specific training to Physiotherapy Assistants and new Technicians and assist the Physiotherapist in training other non-qualified Health Care staff on the General Medical unit.

· After a period of training, to be responsible unsupervised for implementing the standards and policies relevant to the speciality - working within codes of practice and professional guidelines.
· Within specific guidelines, and following training, to be solely responsible and accountable for a clinical case load working within codes of practice and professional guidelines. This includes patient documentation in both professional and medical notes and recording contacts on EPIC.
· After receiving instruction from the Physiotherapist, to teach and supervise exercises and mobility on those patients who required initial assessment by the qualified Physiotherapist.
· After a period of time in post to be given a list of patients to treat on a daily basis. This may include responding to urgent referrals and occasionally unpredictable work patterns, liaising with the Senior Physiotherapists.
· After a period of training in post and with some assistance from Senior Physiotherapists, to be able to prioritize clinical work and balance other patient related and professional activities in accordance with the department’s requirements. This will require occasional concentration in an unpredictable environment.
· With some assistance to be able to manage potentially upsetting or emotional situations in an empathetic manner including but not limited to elderly and confused patients, neurological events.
