An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Team Leader Radiotherapy Radiographer to join our Pre Treatment team.

Main duties of the job
We are seeking an individual who has the desire to support the Pre Treat service and be an integral part of the team.
The successful candidate will manage the day to day running of your designated area and the patient flow and patient bookings. You will be responsible for the delivery of the preparation and planning of radiotherapy treatment as referred by Clinical Oncology Consultants. You will help support business planning alongside Operational Managers in pursuit of best practice and service developments.
A key element of the role, the post holder will provide information, education, practical and emotional support to patients and carers during their radiotherapy episode.

Essential
1. MSc / BSc Radiotherapy/ Therapeutic Radiography or DCR (T)
2. HCPC Registration
3. Evidence of continuous personal, professional and academic development
Knowledge and Skills
Essential
1. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
2. Evidence of attention to detail
3. Good reasoning, decision-making skills and judgement with an ability to work autonomously
4. Demonstrate high levels of geo-spatial reasoning and hand, eye and sensory co-ordination
5. Understanding of geometry and its application in radiotherapy
6. Problem solving skills
7. Aware of the importance of legislation concerning radiation and other safety hazards, the implications of the Data Protection Act and the need to maintain patient and staff confidentiality
