IT Head of Planning & Delivery
Location: Cheltenham, UK (Hybrid working)

Role Overview:
The Head of Planning and Delivery for our Spirax Group IT Services will support the development and execution of its strategy, execution of its roadmaps and will be accountable for the delivery of both projects and change, coupled with rigorous governance practices.
As the face of delivery, the role is instrumental in ensuring that our IT Shared Service aligns with and meets the demand of the Group’s business objectives, drives operational excellence and fosters innovation across the organisation.
The post-holder will be dedicated to ensuring the successful implementation of the Group IT change portfolio and work packages for Group functions and Business Unit (BU) Information Systems (IS) teams.
Your objectives and responsibilities will focus on:
* Responsibility for ensuring all change is delivered on time and on budget with appropriate resources
* Responsibility for several global capabilities including Business Engagement, Project Governance, Portfolio and Project Planning, Resource Management and Delivery
* Ensuring IT services and solutions directly support Group and BU objectives and growth drivers & enablers
* Developing and maintaining effective partnerships with key stakeholders to understand their evolving needs
* Overseeing project delivery operations to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget and to the required quality standards using standardized processes and tools
* Leading and developing the seamless delivery of the Architecture, Planning, Governance and Performance Portfolio Management practices
* Building a high performing IT team capable of delivering exceptional service and fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation and excellence, preparing the organisation for future IT advancements
* Identifying opportunities to enhance service offerings and project delivery methodologies to improve efficiency and effectiveness
* Directing strategic partnerships and procurement strategies within IT shared services and optimizing vendor relationships to ensure that procurement practices deliver maximum value and performance
* Optimizing service and project delivery costs with effective sourcing and prioritization to ensure the financial viability of the service across the Group
Establishing and maintaining robust governance processes to manage service and project quality, risk and compliance across Group and BUs.
Your previous experience is likely to include:
* Extensive experience in IT shared services or MSPs with a proven track record in strategic planning, change management, complex programme delivery and governance practices
* Proven experience in driving significant IT change and achieving impactful results
* A proven track record in successful programme and project delivery
* A proven capability to influence and engage with senior stakeholders and executive teams

* Be qualified in Computer Science, IT, Business, or a related field, or will have substantial professional experience
* Demonstrate in-depth expertise in IT Strategy, Architecture, project management methodologies, and procurement practices

* Show strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a focus on innovation, continuous improvement and excellence in planning
* Be proactive and results-oriented whilst remaining adaptable and collaborative; fostering a positive working culture
