Job Summary
The field engineer is responsible for the installation and the maintenance of custom machines (material handling & fastening systems) at Preston workshop & mainly at customer plants. He is focused on quality and safety.
12-month fixed-term contract with extension option
Remuneration: £34,800 per annum less deductions for Tax, National Insurance and other contributions as agreed
Responsibilities
* Set up machines at Preston for sign off with the customers
* Organise delivery to the end user
* Manage the installations in autonomy (prevention plans, lifting means, etc.)
* Set up machines at customer sites
* Refine settings
* Diagnose and fix potential failures
Basic Qualifications
* Diploma in mechanical or electro technical engineering
* Experience of 3 years at a similar position in an industrial environment
* Good skills with hand tools, power tools and good practices for mechanical, pneumatic and electric assembly
* Knowledge of special machines
* Office Pack
* SolidWorks CAD software only for visualisation
* Forklift driving license / MEWP driving license / Working at height permit
