Job Description
The Senior Accountant (EMEA) is ultimately responsible for the final Trial Balances for several European entities managed by the Maidenhead based EMEA Finance Shared Service Centre. This person will be responsible for monthly management of accounts within the region, monthly reporting/tax compliance and the preparation of annual financial statements and audits amongst other responsibilities.
This role works closely with other EMEA Senior Accountants, Accounting Managers, Accounts Payable, Payroll and Tax to ensure Dynatrace’s books and records are accurate and compliant with both US and local GAAPs.
This is a hybrid position, candidates should be commutable to our Maidenhead office 2 days p/week (Tuesday and Thursday).
1. Preparing monthly management accounts under US-GAAP:Accruals/prepayments journals as necessaryLiaison with all members of the Shared Services Centre in the UK who will have input into those numbers to ensure accuracy and understandingManagement reporting to corporate deadlines incl. production of notes/commentariesFull understanding and monthly reconciliation of all Balance Sheet accounts to ensure accurate recording incl. payroll related accounts (commission, bonus, shares, ESPP and associated taxes)
2. Monthly local reporting such as statistics and tax compliance
3. Ensure all VAT returns are prepared and submitted in a timely manner
4. Perform regular SOX controls for AP and Payroll transactionsWeekly bank reconciliations for multiple entities
5. Timely completion of annual financial statements, audits and tax calculations working in conjunction with local advisors and corporate auditors
6. Ensuring legal compliance with respect to filings and statutory reports
7. Collaborate with AP to solve vendor payment queries
8. Production of monthly cash flow forecast
9. Assist with the production of the quarterly and yearly tax package
10. Work with the EMEA Tax team to co-ordinate & manage local tax audits
11. Business partnering to gain knowledge for more accurate monthly reporting and forecasting
12. Ad-hoc involvement in ongoing process improvement and standardisation projects
Qualifications
13. ACA, ACCA or CIMA part-qualified
14. Multi country, multi currency experience essential
15. Technology industry and/or fast growth industry experience would be advantageous
16. Deadline driven with excellent attention to detail and a self-starter
17. Excellent verbal and written English communication skills required, must be comfortable connecting with and communicating with individuals at all levels in the organization
18. Excellent Excel skills
19. Must be a highly motivated individual with the ability to engage others
20. A strong work ethic with proven analytical skills
21. Experience of NetSuite ERP advantageous
22. Experience of Blackline reconciliation system advantageous
