Job Overview
As part of our clients continued growth, we are looking to expand the size of their team to meet the requirements of work demands. We are looking for individuals to help and support farms during labour-intensive operations and to contribute towards the final product - maximum numbers of high-quality hatching eggs with high hatchability.
Responsibilities
1. Work as part of the Breeder Service Team, alongside other farm colleagues.
2. Vaccinate and transfer birds to the laying farm.
3. Provide support with chick placement, bird grading and weighing, flock transshipment, egg collecting, and sampling when the flock allows.
Requirements
We're looking for individuals who can work with minimal supervision and enjoy a 'hands-on' role in a farming environment. A keen interest in farming, where animal welfare is of the utmost importance, will mean that you match our values. Your passion for learning will ensure that you can continue to acquire new skills.
You'll also need a Driving Licence.
This role is a 5 from 7 shift pattern, with a sixth day as required by the needs of the business, covering 40 hours a week. Overtime is payable at x 1.5 standard rate.
