Job overview
The Children's Autism and ADHD assessment team are looking for a Clinical Psychologist to work in our assessment pathway. We are keen to find a Clinical Psychologist who is passionate about neurodiversity and who wants to support young people through a positive assessment process.
Your role will be to complete Autism and ADHD assessments as part of the MDT and at times take the lead clinician role. You will be supported by the Senior Clinical Psychologist as well as senior clinicians in the wider team.
Main duties of the job
The main duties of this role include:
* Undertaking Autism assessments
* Undertaking ADHD assessments
* Completing other standardised assessments as part of the overall assessment process e.g. Cognitive assessments
* Working as part of a Multi-disciplinary team
* Support development of pre and post diagnostic work
* Support the development of training and education to partner agencies
* Attend regular supervision with the Senior Clinical Psychologist
* Attend multi-disciplinary team meetings
* Computer based tasks e.g. report writing
Person specification
* Knowledge and understanding of neurodiversity and neuro-affirming practice
* Previous experience of working with neurodivergent young people
* Professional Registration to work as Clinical Psychologist
* Full driving licence and access to own vehicle to use for work purposes
