Job details / responsibilities:
Maintaining High-Quality Service (Ofsted Inspections):
* Ensuring that the service consistently meets or exceeds Ofsted’s inspection standards is crucial for regulatory compliance and demonstrating that the care provided is effective, safe, and child-centred.
Young Person-Centred Service Delivery:
* Focusing on the needs and welfare of young people by having strong welfare plans, staff supervision, thorough induction, and ongoing training ensures that the care provided is tailored to each individual, fostering their development and well-being.
Budget Control and Staffing:
* Managing budgets efficiently, ensuring resources are allocated properly, and developing plans for staffing and residential house improvements are key to ensuring that the service remains sustainable and of high quality.
Collaboration with External Agencies:
* Working with early help teams, local authorities, and other professionals ensures a holistic approach to care, addressing the needs of young people and supporting families in the process. This is vital for comprehensive and effective interventions.
Leading Residential Transitions:
* Overseeing transitions helps ensure that young people’s moves between residential settings are smooth and that each transition supports their learning, development, and emotional needs.
Shaping Long-Term Growth:
* Being involved in shaping the future and expansion of the care service ensures that it adapts to changing needs, maintains high standards, and continues to provide effective services for young people in the long term.
* DSL responsibility as part of this role working with the safeguarding team.
About You:
* Must have previous experience as a manager preferably a Registered Manager in a children’s residential home, ideally at multi-site level.
* Must hold Level 5 in Leadership and Management.
* Must have the ability to motivate staff and achieve the highest standards whilst also showing compassion and understanding of staff wellbeing.
* The ability to engage with parents on a national level.
* A good working knowledge of the National Minimum Standards and Ofsted regulations.
* Proven track record with Ofsted of ‘Good’ or ‘Outstanding’ ratings.
* Adaptable and flexible with working patterns when required.
* Enthusiastic, with an eagerness to learn new skills and a commitment to professional continuous development.
