Role Overview:
We are seeking an enthusiastic Specialist SEN Teacher to support secondary-aged students with Education, Health, and Care Plans (EHCPs), focusing on those with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).
Key Responsibilities:
1. Design and implement customised lesson plans addressing the unique needs of students with SEN, particularly ASD.
2. Apply effective behaviour management techniques to maintain a positive learning atmosphere.
3. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and execute Individual Education Plans (IEPs).
4. Communicate regularly with parents and carers about student progress and any concerns.
5. Maintain accurate records in line with school policies.
Qualifications and Experience:
1. Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential.
2. Experience working with secondary students with SEN, especially those with ASD.
3. Strong behaviour management skills.
4. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
5. Commitment to ongoing professional development in SEN education.
