This role will be working in the Platform Squad, an engineering-focused team responsible for the overall product infrastructure and architecture. The team will help support our customer-facing squads to deliver on their objectives, whilst also ensuring product reliability, quality and performance. Reporting to Tim Woods, Head of Product, as a technical-focused product manager, you’ll get the chance to dive deep into product and engineering projects, leading the way in shaping improvements and innovations that help to grow TryHackMe. This is a great opportunity for somebody who loves the technical aspects of product management and wants to be the bridge between engineering, design and product ⚡️ Your responsibilities will likely consist of: Owning the roadmap and backlog for platform improvements and new initiatives. Working closely with both engineering and the other product teams to gather input on what needs to be done to continue to scale and improve the TryHackMe product. Removing blockers to our customer-facing product teams, so they can deliver on their objectives. Scoping and defining projects, creating the Jira tickets, managing sprints, and delivering the work to schedule. Collaborating with stakeholders, including the TryHackMe founders, to develop concepts and ideas. Be responsible for defining and executing against the platform squad OKRs. Communicate and evangelise the work done in the platform team to the rest of the business. Skills & Requirements For this role, we are open to reviewing applications from entry-level candidates and those in the early stages of their product management journey. Ideal minimum requirements consist of: Computer science degree or related hands-on experience as an engineer, DBA, or system admin. 2 years of product management experience is highly beneficial. Still, we are happy to learn about your disciplined mindset for managing complex projects through to completion if you don’t have this length of experience yet A keen interest in technology, particularly aspects related to software development. Understanding of agile development practices and how SaaS products are built. Excellent communication skills – as a remote-first company, our product managers must demonstrate excellent communication and clarity. Bonus Points Experience with education technology and products.
