London Ayyappan Temple in Harrow Wealdstone is seeking a passionate, balanced and dedicated Temple Manager to lead and run the Temple Operations having a key focus on increasing the donations. This is a unique opportunity for a highly organized and responsible individual to oversee the day-to-day operations of the temple, ensuring a welcoming and spiritual environment for all devotees.
Key Responsibilities:
Temple Operations:
Oversee the daily functioning of the temple, including cleanliness, security, and maintenance.
Manage and coordinate volunteer efforts, ensuring smooth operation of all temple activities.
Liaise with priests and religious leaders on scheduling and ceremonial needs.
Develop and implement a calendar of events, festivals, and cultural programs that cater to the Harrow Tamil community.
Oversee the booking and management of temple facilities for rentals or events.
Financial Management:
Develop and manage an annual budget for the temple.
Implement strategies to increase revenue streams, exploring fundraising initiatives and grants.
Manage all financial transactions, ensuring accurate bookkeeping and record-keeping.
Work closely with the temple trustees on financial oversight and reporting.
Community Engagement:
Foster a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere for all devotees.
Build relationships with the wider Harrow Tamil community and local organizations.
Oversee communication channels, keeping the community informed through newsletters, social media, or website updates.
Represent the temple at interfaith events or community gatherings.
Leadership and Development:
Provide guidance and support to volunteers and temple staff.
Develop and maintain positive working relationships with all stakeholders.
Stay informed about best practices in temple management and implement improvements.
Qualifications:
Minimum 3-5 years of experience in management or a related field.
Proven track record in financial management, and cost control.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with diverse groups.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Proficiency in using IT Systems incl MS Office.
Understanding of Tamil culture and religious practices is highly desirable.
A valid UK work permit is required.

SALARY
Competitive salary of upto £35,000 Base Salary + £5,000 Incentive subject to performance.
