Job Summary:
Glu Recruit are seeking an experienced, career-long paraplanner. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in pensions and retirement planning, with a focus on helping individuals achieve a comfortable lifestyle in retirement.
Main responsibilities:
6. Conduct thorough financial research and analysis using tools such as Selectapension and FE Analytics
7. Prepare comprehensive financial reports using Genovo report writing software
8. Review and verify information provided by admin staff for accuracy and completeness
9. Liaise with admin team to gather missing information and assist with business submissions when necessary
10. Utilize Intelliflo back office system for client management and record-keeping
11. Analyse and provide recommendations for various investment vehicles, including ISAs and general investment accounts
12. Challenge advisers on file notes or recommendation proposals that appear unsuitable
13. Communicate with the compliance team regarding any concerns about advice suitability
Required Skills and Experience:
14. Proven track record as a paraplanner in the financial services industry, with a focus on pensions and retirement planning
15. Extensive knowledge of UK pension regulations and products
16. Proficiency in using Intelliflo, Selectapension, FE Analytics, and Genovo software
17. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
18. Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
19. Attention to detail and ability to work independently
20. Understanding of compliance requirements in financial services
Desirable Qualifications:
21. Relevant financial planning qualifications (e.g., Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning) – how experience is preferred and will pay for examination material and initial exams.
