As a Site Engineer, you will play a crucial role in the delivery of a major highways project, ensuring works are completed to the highest standards of safety, quality, and efficiency. You will work closely with the project team, subcontractors, and client representatives, contributing to the smooth progression of the scheme.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Assist in the planning, execution, and supervision of engineering activities on site.
2. Conduct surveys, set out works, and ensure all works are carried out in accordance with technical specifications.
3. Ensure strict adherence to health and safety regulations, and monitor compliance on site.
4. Manage day-to-day site activities, coordinating with subcontractors and suppliers.
5. Produce accurate site records, including method statements, risk assessments, and progress reports.
6. Liaise with the project management team, ensuring effective communication and problem-solving.
7. Monitor project progress against time and budget, and proactively identify issues that may cause delays.
8. Ensure quality control by reviewing and checking technical designs and drawings.
Requirements:
1. A degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
2. Proven experience as a Site Engineer, ideally on highways, roads, or major infrastructure projects.
3. Familiarity with National Highways standards and procedures.
4. Strong knowledge of construction techniques, setting out, and surveying.
5. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
6. A valid CSCS card.
7. Full UK driving licence.
