A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a confident and proactive individual with significant company governance experience to act as the Company Secretary for a range of wholly owned companies within a portfolio group. You will lead a full complement of corporate secretarial services to the entities in line with group governance standards and regulatory requirements.
The position also includes:
1. Working closely with the Boards of Directors and senior management teams on governance events in the corporate calendar including meetings and business planning days
2. Leading governance projects such as company reviews and setting up of new companies when required
3. Recruiting Board directors as well as developing and delivering training for directors and company officers
4. Managing the secretariat team and ensuring delivery on Service Level Agreements
5. Liaising with external stakeholders such as the shareholder, external auditors and other support service leads.
You should be a dynamic leader with an ability to handle projects in a fast-paced environment, an excellent communicator and have strong negotiation skills. You should have confidence in presenting at an executive level and be able to influence change positively bringing people with you as it happens. Significant knowledge and experience of company governance and practice is essential along with excellent organisational skills and political awareness.
