Press Maintenance Technician
NVQ Level 3 qualification in either Mechanical or Electrical needed as a minimum.
A Global Manufacturing company is looking for Press Maintenance Technicians to join their team on a permanent basis.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for responding to technical issues affecting production and maintaining mechanical & electrical machinery encompassing blanking, progressive and transfer presses. Earlies, lates, and night shift rotating.
The Role and Responsibilities
1. PPM to reduce machine downtime.
2. Maintenance on Hydraulic Power Presses.
3. Equipment setting to meet weekly production requirements.
4. Servicing, maintenance, and improvement of mechanical & electrical equipment & services in accordance with current regulations.
5. Maintaining and interrogating PLC systems and Drive systems (Siemens, Mitsubishi, Omron, Fanuc, and Reliance currently used on site).
6. Executing Planned Preventative Maintenance and providing feedback to develop systems & procedures.
Knowledge and Experience
1. Experience in a Heavy Maintenance role within a busy manufacturing environment.
2. Press Maintenance experience is essential.
3. Work within 5S methodology to maintain workplace to a high standard.
4. HNC/NVQ Level 3 Qualification in a mechanical or Electrical engineering discipline is essential.
Shifts
Rotating shift system - Earlies, lates, and nights or 3 x 12 hour days (Sat/Sun/Mon OR Fri/Sat/Sun).
