Job description
As a Midday Supervisor, you will be playing a crucial role in ensuring the safety, well-being, and positive behaviour of students during lunchtime. This position involves supervising students both in the dining area and on the playground, promoting a positive and inclusive atmosphere. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with the school staff to contribute to a positive lunchtime experience for all students.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
* Supervising students during lunchtime, both in the dining area and on the playground, ensuring a safe and positive environment.
* Promoting positive behaviour and encouraging respectful interactions among students.
* Supporting the implementation of the school's behaviour management policies during lunchtime.
* Assisting with the organisation and supervision of activities on the playground, promoting active and healthy play.
* Monitoring and managing any incidents or conflicts, reporting to relevant school staff when necessary.
* Supporting students with any lunchtime routines or specific needs.
* Collaborating with other Midday Supervisors and school staff to maintain a consistent and cohesive approach to student supervision.
Requirements:
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
* Ability to manage and supervise children in a responsible and positive manner.
* Patience and understanding, particularly in managing conflicts or behavioural issues.
* A commitment to ensuring the safety and well-being of students during lunchtime.
* Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
* Flexibility and adaptability to the dynamic nature of the lunchtime period.

* Willingness to complete an enhanced DBS if you do not currently hold one.
