An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Band 2 Admin Support Clerk to work as part of the Trauma Unit admin team. This is to provide general administrative services to the ward in support of the work of the Coordinator on shift. You will work closely with the coordinator on shift and do the admin tasks related to coordinating on the ward.
The post holder will have IT skills and experience as well as high quality communication skills - verbal, face to face and written as well as a professional telephone manner.
Main duties of the job
The following is not an exhaustive list but provides an indication of the core tasks:
* Attend both Board rounds and update nerve centre
* Liaise with DST
* Partner referrals
* DoLs applications
* Photocopying notes
* Updating Careflow
* Booking Transport
* WABA and TVN referrals
* Community referrals

Person Specification
Qualifications
* GCSE level C or above in English and Maths
* Microsoft Office IT packages
* Microsoft Outlook
Experience
* A proven track record within a related administrative or secretarial role
* Demonstrate a flexible and adaptable approach to workload management.
* Previous NHS experience
Knowledge
* High quality communication skills - verbal, face to face and written
* Professional telephone manner
* Ability to learn new systems
* Ability to work to tight and conflicting deadlines
* Ability to type accurately and efficiently
* Be able to prioritise own workload and remain calm under pressure.
