Responsibilities What you’ll be doing Develop Cost Driver Matrix: Identify key cost drivers and determine actionable levers within each driver to optimize financial performance. Business Partnering: Collaborate closely with Operations leadership and the Asset Management team to provide in-depth financial insights, particularly during the 2025 budgeting process. Project Evaluation: Partner with Business Development on new initiatives to ensure operational cost assessments are realistic, thoroughly evaluating alternative approaches. Cost-Saving Opportunities: Review current projects to identify and capitalize on potential cost-saving measures. Risk Management: Work with Operations Management to develop risk trade-off curves, balancing cost, risk, and operational efficiency. Commercial Decision-Making: Foster a commercial mindset in decision-making by partnering with operational management and the procurement team. Oracle System Optimization : Maximize the value derived from the Oracle system, actively contribute to the development of future Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) capabilities, and implement effective inventory management processes, ensuring it serves as a practical operational tool beyond financial tracking. Qualifications Accounting qualification Experience Financial support to infrastructure or assets operating businesses Likely to come from a property manager or outsourcer background Must have experience of both hard and soft FM Commercial rather than “bean counting” approach- not just reporting but turning data into information and recommendations Systems use and implementation knowledge Understands optimising preventative and reactive maintenance Has been an outsourcer or has been an outsource provider- gets the risk, cost and flexibility trade off Long term contracting experience to blue chip customers Ideally run a region, division or a basket of long term contracts Note: The successful candidate will be required to complete pre-employment screening to BS7858:2019, or national equivalent.
