We are seeking to recruit a dedicated, organised and efficient Executive Assistant to deliver a high level of administrative support for George Heriot’s Board of Governors and Sub-Committees in their duties as trustees of George Heriot’s School. The role will report to the Director of Governance, Risk & Compliance.
As part of our talented Support Staff team, the successful candidate will be primarily responsible to the Principal, but will work across the senior leadership team to support all board activities. As the Executive Assistant you will also support the management of risk and compliance across the school, as well supporting the school on commercial lettings, annual bursaries, and awards.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with great administration and relevant experience to add value to George Heriot’s School in a varied, fast-paced and challenging role.

Ideal Candidate:
The successful candidate should hold previous experience in providing executive administration support to Senior Managers, have excellent verbal and written communication skills and can multitask, whilst meeting strict deadlines. You will also hold excellent computer skills specifically on the MS Office packages and have previous experience in documenting and implanting system and procedures. Previous experience of working within a legal or compliance and risk management environment would be advantageous.
