The Clinical School Computing Service (CSCS) is looking for 2 articulate, self-motivated and proactive individuals to join the IT Infrastructure/Server Team. This will involve 2nd line support and troubleshooting of specialist desktops to include Linux desktops as well as Windows desktops which are running specialist scientific software or are connected to scientific instruments. The role holders will work closely with researchers, facilities managers, and external vendors to ensure that computing environments remain reliable, secure and fit for purpose.

4. Experience with scripting or automation for system administration tasks.
5. Understanding of cybersecurity best practices in research computing.
6. Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing.
