We are recruiting for a Specialist Programmes Trainer
Here at Forward Trust, within the Family Support and Specialist Programme Team we deliver and design a range of Training and Programme packages for Family members and individuals overcoming addiction. We focus our work on exploring the Family System and reaching out to individuals to provide support, encouragement and education, wherever they sit within this System.
We work with the Research and Development Directorate, Recovery Support and Therapeutic Quality Teams to generate new initiatives such as a Workforce Development Framework for Drug and Alcohol Practitioners and Lived Experience Volunteers/Peer Mentors.
We deliver the M-PACT Programme across the Uk and Ireland to a wide range of services and organisations. We also deliver the Recovering Families UK Online Programme and conduct collaborative evaluations with our participants on all projects.

Role Responsibilities
Part of the Family Support and Specialist Programmes department, this role will support the delivery of a developing range of Specialist Programmes including the accredited M-PACT Practitioner training to staff internally at the Forward Trust and externally, across the UK and Ireland. The role is required to deliver a high standard of training in line with the expectations of the organisation and Family Support Department.
The role will also assist Specialist Programme Management in the role of developing and evaluating current and new areas of delivery.
This is a Hybrid role where you will be working from home with regular travel across the organisation and to external stakeholders and potentially new customers. As part of a team of 4 you will be giving direct reports to your Line Manager and be involved in specialist projects such as M-PACT programme, workforce development, parenting programme and a wide range of new initiatives. You will also be delivering training into Prisons including our brand New ecofriendly Prison in York HMP Millsike.
Specialist training will be provided will be required to travel and stay overnight for delivery of some training packages.
Please note this is a part time role of 21 hours per week. Preferably 3 working days but can be flexible.
All prison-based roles will require enhanced DBS and HMPPS security vetting. Please note this process can take up to 3-6 weeks. All offers are subject to receiving both HMPPS vetting and DBS clearances.

* Co-residents
* Associations that may cause a conflict of interest with your role or the prison service.
* Background checks across police information systems on you, your family and other associates

* Social media and Open-Source checks (these are checks on content about you that's publicly available on the internet to ensure there's nothing linked to you that could undermine public trust and confidence in the prison service)
* Other government and overseas agency or police checks.

* Experience designing and delivering engaging training sessions, especially for managerial audiences
* Strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to engage participants at different levels
* Creative approach to content creation and training delivery, ensuring a dynamic and interactive experience
* Experienced in delivering training in a Face-to-Face setting and virtually.
* Understanding of diversity and inclusion and the ability to promote these values through learning and development activities
* Ability to work independently and prioritise tasks effectively
* Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
* The ability to organise and prioritise workloads effectively.
* Comfortable in using a Learning Management System (LMS), e-learning tools, and other technology to design, deliver, and track learning programmes, and an understanding of Ms Office 365
* Experience in developing pre-coursework documentation guides for training
* Previous experience in a similar L&D role, with a track record of successfully implementing training courses.
* Ability to think creatively to design engaging and impactful training solutions.
* Comfortable with experimenting and trying new approaches to make learning more interactive, enjoyable, and effective.
