Who Are We? At the City of Doncaster Council, we are committed to providing high-quality, therapeutic care to children in need. Our Residential and Inspiring Futures Teams provide exceptional care for children in our children’s homes, supported accommodation, and care leavers services. Most of our in-house children's homes have received Ofsted ratings of “Outstanding” and “Good”, and we aim to continue to build on these achievements to offer a nurturing, stable, and empowering environment for the children in our care.

The Role As a Registered Manager, you’ll have the opportunity to lead and manage up to two 2-bed residential homes for children. Your focus will be on providing high-quality, therapeutic support, ensuring that each child has the opportunity to reach their full potential in a safe, supportive environment.
Your responsibilities will include:
Leading a team of residential care staff, ensuring therapeutic practices are consistently applied.
Managing budgets and ensuring that the service operates efficiently.
Overseeing quality assurance audits and implementing action plans for improvement.
Ensuring that all care delivered aligns with the Children’s Homes Regulations 2015 and other relevant frameworks.
Collaborating with external and internal partners to achieve the best outcomes for children.What We're Looking For We are looking for a dedicated leader with extensive experience working with children in care and a passion for therapeutic care. Ideal candidates will have:
A proven track record of managing residential care services with good or outstanding Ofsted ratings.
A deep understanding of the Children’s Homes Regulations 2015, Children’s Act 2004, and Ofsted requirements.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and mentor a dedicated team.
Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Child Care (or willingness to achieve it within 3 years).
Experience in managing significant budgets and delivering high-quality care in a therapeutic setting.Why Join Us?

At least two years of experience in residential care for children, and at least one year in a supervisory role.
A thorough understanding of therapeutic approaches in residential care and an ability to lead a culture of continuous improvement.
