We are looking for an experienced Medical Workforce Supervisor (Terms and Conditions) to autonomously advise, support and oversee Medical Workforce coordination and administration activities, specifically relating to terms and conditions advice of Medical and Dental colleagues, recruitment initiatives and rota strategies. We need a friendly, efficient specialist who wants to make a difference across the Medical Workforce. We need a self-starter, someone who is respectful and confident and will autonomously investigate information to resolve problems. The post holder will be a professional expert in this field and will relish an opportunity to steer and oversee Medical Workforce activities.
The role is extremely fast paced, and the post holder will need to always remain calm under pressure. The post holder will understand the terms and conditions of all doctor grades and will approach tasks with diplomacy and tact, advising on the medical terms and conditions of employment. This is a fast paced, highly pressured role and will require an autonomous approach, excellent attention to detail and be a natural leader and role model. The post holder will be expected to train and ensure the team are confident and skilled in their job roles.
The role is hybrid and there will be a requirement to be in the office at least once-two times per week which will be in Hollins Park & V7. It's important that the post holder can get to these locations.

The post holder will have responsibility to lead the team and deliver best practice on medical workforce terms and conditions. They will be responsible to operate a smooth function, interlinking with their peers, having oversight of activities, and ensuring crucial tasks are fulfilled in line with the Medical Workforce vision.
This role will also play a pivotal position in operational tasks and will provide coaching, training and support to the Medical Workforce Coordinators and Admin. The post holder will be a natural leader and ability to coach process and protocol across the Medical Workforce to build confidence and knowledge.
The post holder will need to be a dedicated team player and have knowledge and confidence in a range of medical terms and conditions. They will advise, signpost and coach daily, using their expert knowledge across the Medical Workforce, working closely with internal and external functions.
The post holder will need to complete formal meeting notes for Medical consultation and draft policy changes and advocate Mersey Care values and policies to any grade doctor. Additionally, they will grasp the deadlines within Medical workforce and be tech savvy to use systems and report on a broad range of matters and data.

1. The post holder will be autonomous and confidently advise on medical and dental terms and conditions and support to deal with any matters that arise.
2. To oversee and fulfil responsibilities in relation to rota issues, locum work, bank, allocate as well as recruitment and pay queries.
3. To work closely with internal functions to fulfil pay progression for medical staff.
4. To manage and coordinate recruitment activities across all grades, to work closely with the CD’s and support to publish any specialty doctor, consultant roles any other grades to the Royal College.
5. To coordinate the recruitment process and build on a relationship with the medical recruitment team.
6. To help and support in full, with any trust process and signpost / progress queries sensitively.
7. To facilitate and adapt the medical recruitment bank, working closely with internal colleagues and working towards building SOPs.
8. To make the relevant medics aware of any trust changes such as, outcome to consultation, new / amended versions of policies and procedures.
9. To advise, uphold and sign post colleagues to Trust and Lead employer policies and procedures.
10. To support the needs of improving lives of resident doctors and assist in any actions required.
11. To work together with internal allocate team members for the medics to implement any changes that occur to working practices via new policies/strategies or system requirements / pay scales etc.
12. To work closely with agency and understand the locum work undertaken.
13. To oversee the medical TRAC - assist in the advertisement of any medical related role and guide and assist any hiring manager with the TRAC process.
14. To oversee section 12 process to ensure it is administered and processed accordingly.
15. To manage and produce a reporting process monthly to highlight TRAC recruits.
16. To confidentially deal with sensitive data and escalate any issues to Lead Employer in relation to any doctors on rotation including sickness absence.
17. To communicate with the Dental team and look at funds / budget in conjunction with the Deputy Medical Workforce Manager Lead.
18. To ensure the Medical Workforce relevant inbox is being actioned.
19. To ensure the team are responding to queries speedily, efficiently and in line with Trust values.
20. To remain confidential and communicate sensitively with any Medical Directors or relevant Lead.
21. To oversee the medical workforce coordinators and have weekly meetings to ensure tasks are completed.
22. To work on own and initiate with minimal supervision, prioritising workload, exercising judgments and initiating actions to resolve problems when necessary.
