Expedition Promotions & Partnerships Officer Location: Hybrid – Remote (3 days/week) & Lincolnshire HQ (2 days/week) Hours: Full-time (9:00 AM – 5:30 PM) About Us Operation Wallacea is a UK-based conservation organisation that has delivered global research expeditions for nearly 30 years. Our work has resulted in the publication of nearly 700 scientific papers, the discovery of over 80 new species, and the delivery of outstanding educational experiences to thousands of students worldwide. The Role We’re seeking a proactive, enthusiastic Expedition Promotions & Partnerships Officer with a strong interest in environmental sciences or conservation. This role is ideal for someone passionate about nature, outreach and communication. You will help recruit students and schools for our research programmes, develop high-impact content, and build key relationships across the education sector. Key Responsibilities Create engaging content for our blog and broader digital platforms, including generating new content ideas relevant to conservation and our audiences Manage and grow our social media presence across platforms such as TikTok, LinkedIn, and Bluesky Conduct outreach to schools and universities, including contacting teachers and scheduling introductory meetings Support email campaigns and promotional activities for both teachers and student volunteers Represent Operation Wallacea at school talks, careers fairs and university events as part of our speakers team Respond to telephone and email enquiries professionally and efficiently Assist with website maintenance and content (e.g., sh.opwall.com) Participate in overseas expeditions (you will be assigned a role based on your experience and strengths) Collaborate with university departments to build and maintain strong relationships What We’re Looking For Interest or background in conservation, biology, environmental sciences or related fields Excellent written and verbal communication skills Confident public speaker with a professional and engaging manner Organised, self-motivated, and comfortable managing multiple projects Familiarity with social media platforms and basic content creation tools Willingness to travel and participate in field expeditions Benefits Hybrid working (3 remote days/week) Field experience opportunities Training and support provided Opportunity to work with a mission-driven team making real-world impact
