Residential Support Worker – Child (3 Long Days)
40 hours per week, 52 weeks per year
3 x Long Day Shifts 7am - 9pm (inclusive of 2 x 20 min breaks)

Hourly Rate: £12.54 - £12.96
Salary Range (FTE) £26,103 - £26,958 per annum subject to qualifications
Once Qualified in L3 Child Health and Social Care there is a potential to earn up to £28,065 after further completion of relevant RMT courses and increased length of service
Sleep-ins paid at an extra £78.48 per night

The role is based at Sunfield School, an independent specialist school educating children and young people (6-19) with complex behaviour and learning difficulties including autistic spectrum conditions.
* Part of a team with responsibility for promoting and ensuring the safety, care, wellbeing and development of our students to support their growth in confidence in both social and practical skills.
* Support and supervise our students in developing skills in domestic activities; cooking, cleaning, laundry, budgeting and shopping as well as engagement in leisure activities; accessing local communities, exploring local area, partaking in trips etc.
* Complete and update all relevant paperwork and recording accurately.
* Provide personal care, administer medication dependent on student needs.
* Work with challenging behaviour as our students have Special Educational Needs and Disabilities, which can involve complex diagnoses.
