Daily Rate: £150 - £212

We are currently seeking a passionate and skilled Design and Technology Teacher to join our team. The Role:
As a Design and Technology Teacher, you will inspire students to explore the world of design, engineering, and technology. Your key responsibilities will include:
1. Engaging Lessons: Plan and deliver creative and practical lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, covering topics such as product design, resistant materials, and engineering.
2. Curriculum Development: Help develop an engaging and inclusive curriculum that meets national standards while fostering innovation and critical thinking in students.
3. Practical Learning: Guide students through hands-on projects, teaching them how to use tools, materials, and design software effectively and safely.
4. Assessment & Feedback: Monitor student progress, provide timely feedback, and adapt teaching strategies to meet individual needs.
5. Classroom Management: Create a well-organised and safe learning environment, ensuring students adhere to health and safety protocols.
6. Extracurricular Activities: Support or lead design and technology clubs, workshops, or competitions to enhance students' learning experiences.
7. Collaboration: Work closely with other faculty members to integrate cross-curricular projects and share best practices.
Requirements:
1. Qualified Teacher Status (QTS): A valid QTS and a relevant degree in Design Technology or a related subject.
2. Teaching Experience: Experience teaching Design and Technology at secondary level (KS3 and KS4), with a proven track record of inspiring creativity and practical skills.
3. Passion for Design & Technology: A deep enthusiasm for teaching design and tech-related subjects, with the ability to engage and motivate students.
4. Practical Skills: Proficiency in using tools, machinery, and design software, and the ability to teach these skills safely and effectively.
5. Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage with students, staff, and parents alike.
6. Classroom Management: A commitment to maintaining high standards of behaviour and safety within a workshop setting.
