Your responsibilities
The Valuation team is responsible for the appraisal process for major investments into UK energy assets.
The successful candidate will undertake the typical tasks as outlined below:
* Support the team in building the business case for investment decision, challenging the underlying assumptions through stakeholder engagement and developing financial models.
* Review the key value drivers that drive the profitability of projects in energy markets.
* Undertake scenario analysis and help identify the impact of risks and opportunities on valuation metrics.
* Support, organise and prepare presentations of financial modelling results to internal stakeholders.
* Help develop standardisation of modelling tools and implement recommendations on best practice.
* Gain invaluable experience by modelling several investment cases, attending stakeholder meetings and presenting the results.
* Training and support will be provided on achieving the above tasks.
Your profile
Essential
* Current students who are required to undertake a year in industry as part of their degree programme.
* The role will be based in the Birmingham office along with the occasional trip to our Head Office in Dusseldorf.
* Problem-solving skills and an open-minded, positive attitude.
Desirable
* Some knowledge of the energy industry would be desirable but is not essential.
* Proficiency in MS Office programs (Excel, PowerPoint).
