Position Summary:
The role of the Production Controller will be to support the operations department and to liaise with key customers to ensure >95% on-time delivery. You will need to be:
1. Strong SAP user (production bias & raise QN’s)
2. Strong production planning skills
3. Strong excel skills
4. Creation of day plans & mitigation plans for production
5. Good strong communication skills – throughout all areas of the business
6. Able to make quick decisions and avoid bottlenecks with forward thinking/planning
7. Enable to mitigate gap analysis throughout all operations and close any downtime of WIP movements through all departments
8. Proactive attitude and solution finder
9. Understanding of fabrication processes desirable
10. Understanding of Aerospace Heat exchangers Advantageous
11. Able to commit to customer and hold promises
12. Strong “I can do” personality
13. Able to cope under pressure and deliver results
14. Driven individual to aid business culture change
Responsibilities:
Along with the above, The Production Controller will be responsible for preparing and communicating compliance data to Senior Leadership Team and Customers. Data includes the following:
1. Demand Alignment
2. 5 Year Capacity Plans (Resource & Equipment)
3. Recovery plans
4. Yield & CA Reporting
5. Production Support
6. MRP/MPS Adherence & Buffer Control
7. Yield Tracking
8. Production Rate Planning
9. WIP Control
10. Maintenance of WO Dates & Completions
11. Scrap WIP Control/ Destruction & Report Out
12. Maintenance of SAP Serialization of Units
13. COPQ control
14. Productivity Improvements
15. Supporting Continuous Improvement Events
16. Production QN & Close Out Support
The Production Controller will also be expected to support customer calls outside normal working hours, so flexibility is essential. Additional responsibilities include:
1. Assist & Lead Tier cell meetings when required
2. Continuous improvement support and promote to team members
3. Production readiness reviews
4. Capacity planning (people & equipment)
5. Presentations (prepare & present as required)
6. Capital Expenditure to support new product/equipment
7. Liaising with other departments
8. Support team in the use of ACE Tools such as 5s, TPM, Turnback collection
9. ACE Board compliance
10. Quality Clinic Activity as required
11. Lead lean events as required
12. Support Cell Meetings

Qualifications Required
1. Education – HNC / Degree in an engineering discipline.
2. Experience – Minimum 5 years
3. Industry Experience – as above
