Job summary An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Assistant Psychologist to join the Liaison Psychiatry Team based at Roseberry Park Hospital. This post is offered on a permanent and full-time basis, and will provide mental health support into James Cook University Hospital. You will join a welcoming multi-disciplinary team. The successful candidate will have a degree in Psychology. Experience of working as within Psychology field and delivering psychologically informed interventions to people experiencing mental health difficulties would be desirable. This is a versatile and fast paced role; you will need to demonstrate compassion, be adaptable and work with flexibility, have excellent communication skills, and have experience of working within a multidisciplinary team. Main duties of the job The post offers applicants an opportunity for direct and indirect work. The post holder will work under the supervision of an experienced highly specialist clinical psychologist in supporting the co-creation of MDT formulations and further assessment where needed to inform care and intervention planning. Delivery of brief psychologically informed interventions will also be part of the role. There may also be opportunities for audit and service evaluation as well as protected time for professional development.
