As part of the Platform Engineering Team within the Tech Platforms business unit, the Platform Enablement Technical Lead focuses on maintaining and enhancing integration platforms (AWS EKS, Amazon MQ) and delivering technical capabilities for new demands and BAU initiatives. A bit about the job: Lead a team of skilled engineers to enhance integration platform reliability and operational efficiency. Mentor a diverse team, fostering a culture of technical excellence and implementing core platform capabilities such as monitoring, observability, and DevSecOps methodologies. Oversee and deliver various work streams across API Gateway and integration platforms, while advancing the existing platform. Manage team deliveries with a mix of GSPs and insourced teams, allocate daily tasks, and resolve team blockers. Identify and develop opportunities to extend integration platform functions into new business areas like Serverless APIs and Eventing capabilities. Conduct Proof of Concept for technical evaluations and initiatives and communicate technical perspectives to senior leadership. Perform design and code reviews to ensure systems meet both functional and non-functional requirements, identify necessary changes, and handle platform audits from a technical perspective. Contribute to shaping technical standards and guidelines, ensuring consistency across integration platforms and tools. Deploy, automate, maintain, troubleshoot, and enhance integration platforms, ensuring security, performance, monitoring, and design integrity. Proactively manage environment costs and identify cost-reduction opportunities. Skills and experience we're looking for: Expertise in containerization technologies (AWS EKS), API gateway (preferably Kong API Gateway), and service mesh (preferably Kong Mesh/Kuma/Envoy) alongside experience in a high-level programming language (Java) and integrating applications using web services (REST, SOAP, etc.). Skilled in DevOps technologies such as Infrastructure as Code (Terraform), automation, Vault, version control, and scripting languages, along with experience with GitOps, FluxCD, and setting up container orchestration platforms (EKS). Experienced with software development tools (Git, Jenkins, Azure DevOps, Artifactory, SonarQube), AWS cloud platforms and Proficiency in software development practices (Terraform, YAML, Python, Groovy, Bash) and familiar with automated testing tools and methodologies within CI/CD frameworks. Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate with a wide range of stakeholders, including business teams, development teams, and partners, coupled with strong problem-solving and analytical skills, capable of triaging, debugging, and resolving complex issues in production-grade environments. Familiar with architectures such as microservice architecture and event-driven architecture. Capable of producing High-Level Designs (HLD), Low-Level Designs (LLD), and cloud architecture designs.
