Position Overview
In this role, you will work with children of all ages and abilities, including those with SEND, to promote physical health, mental well-being, and social development. You will deliver engaging, fun, and inclusive sessions that cater to the diverse needs of each child, helping them to build confidence, resilience, and a love for active living. This job will be Saturdays 10-3 and will be a 'youth club' style session for children with SEND.
Key Responsibilities
* Plan and Deliver Sessions: Create and deliver dynamic, age-appropriate sports and well-being sessions that engage and motivate SEND children of varying abilities, ensuring inclusivity for all.
* Support Holistic Development: Incorporate mindfulness practices and mental well-being activities into sessions to support the overall development of each child.
* Adaptability: Modify activities and approaches to meet the individual needs and abilities of each child, ensuring a positive and supportive experience for all participants.
* Build Relationships: Foster strong, supportive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues, promoting a safe and welcoming environment.
* Monitor Progress: Track the progress of each child, providing constructive feedback and support to help them achieve their personal goals.
* Safeguarding: Adhere to all safeguarding and health and safety policies to ensure the well-being of all participants.
Qualifications
* Experience working with SEND children in a coaching, teaching, or childcare capacity.
* Strong understanding of child development, physical education, and mental well-being practices.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and inspire children of all ages.
* Ability to work flexibly, adapting to the needs of different children and environments.
* Relevant coaching or teaching qualifications are preferred.
* First Aid and Safeguarding certifications (or willingness to obtain them).
