The Opportunity:

Operating on a global scale, this organisation is seeking an experienced Head of Quality who will take charge of directing quality strategies and practices across international operations.
The Role:
You will serve as a key figurehead in overseeing the quality function, your insights influencing both the current and future landscapes of the company's quality assurances. You will manage diverse teams globally, focusing on key areas like supplier quality development, alignment of the Quality Assurance amidst multiple sites, and building relationships grounded in consistent quality performance.
Key Responsibilities:
* Collaborate with senior leadership to devise long-term quality frameworks that identify risks, enhance client satisfaction, and drive operational enhancements.
* Lead quality from products' inception to post-production evaluation, ensuring delivery against customer specifications through strategic supplier engagement.
* Leverage your experience with fabrications, forging, and casting processes to support standardising quality and supplier standards globally.
* Play an integral role in spearheading supplier audits and strengthening supplier development programs across the Far East and other regions.
* Nurture and develop in-house quality talent, ensuring teams are equipped to uphold high product standards.
* Ensure compliance with internal procedures, adapting standards to align with customer expectations and simplifying complex engineering requirements.
* Continually review and refine global quality operations, adjusting travel to aligns with project and continuous improvement needs.

Experience Required:
* Degree in a relevant technical or engineering field, with ample practical expertise.
* Demonstrated history of guiding quality-focused teams and projects within manufacturing or similarly complex engineering settings.
* Deep familiarity with steel fabrication, welding, machining, and the associated quality techniques.
* Background in mentoring developing professionals within quality or operations roles.
* Ability to engage directly with customers, listening and responding to technical requirements meticulously.
* Regular readiness for international travel post-probationary period to solidify and extend quality processes.
Desirable Skills:
* Experienced within heavy fabrication, industrial painting, and component manufacturing quality systems.
* Success fostering partnerships in automotive and aerospace influencing more adaptable industrial quality contexts.
* Acumen with Far East supply chains, bringing value through known supplier networks and insights.
* Exposure to construction or agricultural machinery environments, where inter-company quality expectations are pivotal.
