Hours: 35 hours per week
Location: The role is based around our office in Liphook. Not only are the people lovely (with great taste in music) but the office and grounds are beautiful. Park in an apple orchard, have meetings sitting by our lake or take a walk in the Hampshire countryside over lunch. Beats the London rush any day. Hybrid Options considered for the right candidate.
A bit about the role:
Rocksteady Music School is going through an exciting time of growth. We’re already the largest employer of full-time musicians in the UK, but we’ve got big plans ahead of us!
To help us hit our ambitious growth goals, we’re on a mission. That’s why we’re seeking a talented performance marketing manager to join our growing marketing team and support Rocksteady’s digital strategy.
In this role, you will be responsible for developing and implementing high-impact performance marketing campaigns across Meta platforms, utilising platforms such as Google Tag Manager, Google Analytics and Hotjar to optimise user experience, track key performance indicators, and drive sustainable growth. You will play a key role in acquiring, engaging, and retaining customers by leveraging a deep understanding of digital advertising and performance metrics - all with an aim of bringing the joy of live music and playing in a band to thousands of children across the UK.
Main responsibilities:
* Paid Media Advertising Management
* Develop, execute, and optimise paid campaigns on platforms such as Meta (Facebook, Instagram), TikTok, YouTube, and LinkedIn with a focus on performance metrics.
* Plan, execute, and optimise Google Search and PPC campaigns and conduct keyword research to identify high-impact search terms.
* Conduct A/B testing on creative assets, targeting options, and bidding strategies to maximise ad performance and budget efficiency.
* Regularly analyse campaign performance and work alongside the head of growth to amend strategies to meet acquisition and revenue targets.
* Collaborate with the Head of Growth and creative team to produce compelling ad creatives tailored to audience segments and market trends.
* Tracking & Analytics Implementation
* Set up and manage tracking systems using Google Tag Manager to ensure accurate measurement of campaign performance and user behaviour.
* Monitor and troubleshoot any tag or tracking issues to maintain data integrity across campaigns and channels.
* Ensure compliance with privacy standards (GDPR, CCPA, etc.) within tracking systems.
* Web & User Behaviour Analysis
* Utilise Google Analytics to track and report on user interactions, traffic sources, and conversion metrics, providing insights to refine campaign strategies.
* Employ Hotjar to analyse user behaviour, identify pain points in the customer journey, and make recommendations for website optimizations to improve conversion rates.
* Generate weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports to provide actionable insights to the broader marketing and product teams.
* Performance Optimisation
* Drive continuous improvement by implementing strategies to enhance ad targeting, bidding, and audience segmentation.
* Leverage insights from analytics tools to optimise the end-to-end customer journey, from ad click to conversion.
* Test new channels and growth opportunities within Meta, LinkedIn, and beyond to identify potential areas for expansion.
* Conduct keyword research and implement on-page SEO strategies to improve organic search rankings and visibility.
* Collaborate with content and development teams to optimise website structure, meta tags, and content for search engine optimization.
* Monitor SEO performance and track key metrics, such as organic traffic, rankings, and conversion rates, to continually enhance website presence.
* Stay updated on SEO trends and best practices to ensure that our SEO strategies align with current search engine algorithms and consumer behaviour.
About you:
* You’re passionate about analysis and optimisation – we are looking for someone who is curious and always looking at ways to do things better.
* Data is your thing – our decisions need to be grounded in data, and you’ll be at the heart of this. We need the successful applicant to be confident in identifying trends, spotting issues and optimising systems and processes.
* You’ve got an open mind and agile nature – we don’t expect to get things right all the time, so our new team member needs to approach changes of direction with a positive, can-do attitude.
* You believe in what we do – while you may not be directly teaching music to children, what we do in the marketing department is key to ensuring we succeed in our mission and so it’s very important you care as much as we do about the children we work with.
Experience & Expertise:
* Moderate best practice SEO knowledge.
* Confident in digital campaign building, monitoring and optimising.
* An eye for campaign tracking and data analysis.
* Data confident with good Excel skills.
Martech experience:
* Reporting platforms such as Gecko, Looker Studio, and Hotjar.
* Website CMS (WordPress a bonus).
* Google Analytics 4 and Google Tag Manager.
NB: Even if you don’t think you tick all the boxes, if the job interests you and you like what we do, please send over your CV and introduce yourself. We firmly believe a diversity of perspectives and experiences makes a team stronger — and the stronger our team, the closer we are to bringing the joy of music to thousands more children around the UK.
Additional Information:
We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all children and expect all our staff to share this commitment.
