D-Orbit is looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer to join our team in UK: Key Responsibilities: · Design mechanical systems for spacecraft, including structure, thermal, and mechanisms, including troubleshoot design issue. · Conducting mechanical requirements review, ensuring compliance with ECSS standards. · Acting as the technical interface with other internal technical areas and external suppliers. · Support the fabrication, assembly, and testing of prototypes. · Prepare technical reports, documentation, and presentations to communicate design and test results to the team · Perform component dimensioning through hand calculations using a static equivalent loads approach. · Draft manufacturing documentation and assemblies procedures. Qualifications: - Minimum of 3 years of experience in mechanical design. - Proven experience in managing and aerospace projects, demonstrating familiarity with ECSS standards and requirements. - Background in FEM modeling and analysis. - Knowledge of materials, manufacturing processes, and assembly techniques used in the aerospace industry. - Proficiency in CAD software, background in CAD PTC Creo software is a plus Language: - Proficiency in both English is required.
