We have an excellent opportunity for an Administrative Assistant to join Specialist Psychological Therapy Services within the directorate of Adult Mental Health.
We have two vacancies (37.5 hours and 28.0 hours) working Monday to Friday.
As an Administration Assistant for Specialist Psychological Therapy Services, you will be responsible for providing a comprehensive administration service to a specific area of the mental health team, which will include supporting a clinical team. In addition, you will be required to cover the reception, which will include meeting and greeting patients face to face and answering the telephone in a timely manner.

Main duties of the job

As an Administration Assistant/Receptionist, you will be the first point of contact for telephone enquiries and face-to-face interactions from patients and referrers.
You will be working proactively as part of the wider administrative and clinical teams, including other services within the directorate of Mental Health and Clinical and Medical Staff. You will be processing referrals, data inputting, supporting the wider teams as per service needs, and performing other general administration duties. For this, you will require good working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, excellent IT skills, and be highly organized with good planning skills.
The role includes telephone and written correspondence with patients, service users, liaising with family members/carers, GPs, and other primary care services, as well as other external NHS services or partner agencies, such as Social Care and the Police.
You will need good written and verbal communication skills and the ability to liaise with service users in a calm and compassionate manner.
