Job Title - Tenancy Skills Officer Head Office Location: Brindley Place, Birmingham B1 2JB Job Location: (Green Farm Business Park, Gloucester GL2 4LY) Salary - £25,000 - £37,600 ( £750 Car Allowance) per annum Contract type - Permanent Working hours - Full Time 37 hours per week Closing Date - 24 th January 2025 Interview Date - 5 th February 2025 About the role We are currently recruiting for a Tenancy Skills Officer to cover the Gloucester, Wiltshire and Oxford area on a permanent basis. You will report to the Locality Manager - Tenancy Skills but may work beyond a defined geographical boundary should workload dictate. The tenancy Skills Officer role is working with customers in maintaining and sustaining tenancies through financial inclusion, benefit advice, income maximisation, guidance towards employment and sign posting customers to available agencies for financial, wellbeing or debt advice. The role is hybrid working and includes meeting customers in their home as well as in the office and working from home and supporting customers over the phone. Excellent customer care skills are required to undertake this role and the ability to work with Stakeholders and other organisations to enable customers to be signposted for further support they may require/need. You must have knowledge of the benefit system and be able to show that you have experience of working with vulnerable customers. To obtain desired outcomes you will be working with other teams across the Operations Directorate as well as the Tenancy Skills team to enable customers to sustain their tenancies. Further details will be sent following offer. About you You will have a good general or technical education of 5 GCSE`s or more. Also acceptable are vocabulary, verbal reasoning and numerical skills to the equivalent ability level You will have a good knowledge of welfare benefits and action to take to maximise customer`s income. To work effectively with people including those with complex needs, mental health, domestic abuse, misuse of drugs and alcohol problems. This role requires excellent communication skills and an ability to sort and resolve issues in a swift manner at all levels.
