In this role, you will assist in the preparation of designs, drawings, and contract documentation associated with highway and public realm improvements. You will also assist in the supervision of work during construction to ensure efficient project management and product quality.
As part of the overall design and implementation process, you will assist with public, councillor, and stakeholder consultations.
We expect you to assist in the development and maintenance of a customer-oriented, high-quality approach to service delivery, ensuring that the service remains relevant and appropriate. To facilitate this, it is necessary to work as part of a team, collaborating and sharing knowledge openly to enhance service delivery and ensure both individual and team objectives are met. Additionally, you will be expected to keep up to date with policies and procedures and participate in meetings and training as necessary.
You will hold a BTEC National Diploma in Civil Engineering or possess incorporated engineer status (or equivalent relevant experience), along with knowledge of civil engineering and construction practices. Good numeracy, literacy, organization, and communication skills are essential.
You must be proficient in AutoCAD, as well as Microsoft Excel and Word.
A current driving license or means of mobility support is required.
