Role Overview: We are looking for an experienced Finance Manager to lead all internal financial processes and reporting at this key stage in the company’s growth. The Finance Manager will be responsible for taking on and developing the business Accounting Cycle and MI with a key goal of embedding a focus on gross profit and margin within the business whilst driving and optimising overall profitability and cashflow. Key Responsibilities: · Own all books of prime entry for Rebel Lion – sales ledger, purchase ledger, cashbook. · Ensure clear daily, weekly and monthly financial routines are established and maintained, ensuring the business’ accounts are 100% reconciled and up to date. · Be the daily point of contact for banks and investors. · Own payroll, associated tax compliance and reporting. · Establish strong relationships with relevant staff at our customers, to ensure Rebel Lion is always first on their payment runs and debtor days are minimised. · Produce weekly cashflows that optimise use of funds and provide clear visibility of working capital and investment to the board and investors. · Run an efficient month-end close, producing accurate, timely and well analysed management information. · Own the annual budgeting process including the budget model, coordination of data sources and produce budget presentations for the board and investors · Provide clear financial insight and analysis to help drive business performance. · Develop, manage and monitor metrics, KPI tracking, and reports. · Champion a relentless focus on gross profit and gross margin delivery across the business, ensure all staff understand the drivers to maximise returns. Make gross profit a key part of the business vocabulary. · Own and develop forecasting models improving speed and accuracy and identifying the commercially relevant variables for discussion and agreement with the board. · Ensure that Xero is integrated and/or automations are used to optimise links to the business’ other systems, critically including Hubspot and Clockify. · Work with the business’ outsourced accountants to produce accurate and well presented annual reports, for approval by the board within 4 months of year end. Skills and Experience: · CIMA, ACCA or ACA qualified with post-qualification experience in a dynamic and growing business. · Work experience as a Finance Manager, or similar. · Thorough understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). · Ability to produce financial reports with visual aids and present in a clear and concise manner. · The ability to derive useful insight from MI/financial information, formulating an understanding of problems, developing solutions and following these through to implementation. · Analytical thinker with strong conceptual and problem-solving skills. · Meticulous attention to detail with superb organisational skills. · Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines. · Ability to work independently and as part of a team. · Excellent report-writing and communication skills. · Solid proficiency in Xero and Excel. · An awareness of Hubspot, with user experience if possible.
