Our client, a major UK retail bank, provides every day banking services to over 17 million retail customers. The banks expertise and services span across Business Services, Corporate banking, Wealth Management, Group Functions, Retail and Investment Banking. On behalf of this organisation, AMS are looking for a MI Data Analyst (Tableau Specialist) for a 6 Months contract based Hybrid/Remote (ad hoc travels to Edinburgh ). Purpose of the Role: This is a hands-on Tableau Data Analysis role and as MI Data Analyst (Tableau Specialist) you will join the client's team to help deliver dynamic business intelligence dashboards that are integral to performance management across multiple business units, including the front office and executive teams. You'll be stepping into a high-impact role where your work will influence strategic decision-making at the highest levels. Responsibilities of the role: As a MI Data Analyst (Tableau Specialist) you will be responsible for: Deliver Tableau dashboards that represent both financial and non-financial business KPIs, enabling executives to make data-driven management decisions. Support the bank's performance management by providing visual insights that help guide strategic action across various business units. Engage in end-to-end processes, including requirements analysis, data sourcing, data prepping, and building Tableau dashboards. Conduct requirements analysis conversations with customers, ensuring that dashboards meet their strategic needs and adhere to necessary controls and risk assessments. Collaborate closely with team members in backlog prioritization and contribute to regular standups to keep the project aligned with business objectives. Act as an advisor to stakeholders on data value optimization, helping them understand and use data more effectively. What we require from the candidate: Extended expertise in Tableau, SQL, and Snowflake. Hands-on experience with Business Intelligence. Previous experience in financial services or a data-driven environment is preferred. Skilled in data sourcing, handling, and preparation across various platforms. Able to conduct conversations with stakeholders, understanding their requirements and delivering solutions that address their needs. Be able to work independently and self-organize effectively, with a high degree of autonomy and minimal oversight.
