We’re looking for an SEMH Teaching Assistant to work with students who need extra support managing their emotions and behaviors. This is a full-time, temporary position based in Cramlington, and we’re excited to find someone who can bring energy, patience, and creativity to the role.
What You’ll Be Doing:
* Supporting students with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs
* Helping students stay focused and engaged in their learning
* Providing guidance on managing emotions, stress, and behavior
* Working closely with teachers and other staff to make sure students feel safe and supported
* Creating a fun, calm, and structured environment for students to thrive
What We’re Looking For:
* A positive and proactive attitude
* Strong communication skills and a real passion for working with children
* The ability to stay calm under pressure and support students in challenging situations
* Previous experience with SEMH or similar needs is a bonus, but not required
* A willingness to learn and grow in your role
