My client is seeking an Associate to assist in the development and growth of their building services team in Birmingham
You will play a vital role in the delivery of building services across a wide range of sectors including scientific and laboratories, defense, commercial, industrial, retail, healthcare, education and leisure within both public and private domains.
Your Role
This role will include all aspects of a building services engineering consultancy and you will be reporting directly to the Associate Director within the Birmingham office. We are looking for someone with a background in Electrical engineering and a high level of knowledge in mechanical engineering, public health and sustainability and a key understanding of construction.
About You
* You will be required to attain security clearance to MOD “SC” level and work on both MOD and scientific sector projects requiring security clearance. You will be a good communicator verbally and in the written word expected to communicate with educated clients at the highest level.
* Educated to at least degree level in mechanical engineering, building services engineering or equivalent.
* Chartered Engineer and member of relevant body.
* Excellent communication and client facing skills with the confidence to manage varying client situations.
* High level of knowledge and experience of mechanical engineering with a key understanding of other disciplines.
* Knowledge and experience of using AutoCAD and IES software is essential with the ability to interrogate cooling and heating loads, energy models and dynamic simulations carried out by others. Use of Revit and Hevacomp software would be useful but not essential.
