We have a fantastic opportunity for the correct person to take up the position of Lead Superintendent Radiographer for CT within the Radiology Care Group. The successful applicant will provide managerial, clinical and professional leadership for CT departments across the Radiology Care Group at KCH. The post holder will support the CT Site Superintendents to deliver excellent levels of service on their sites and will support the Care Group Management Team to deliver on Care Group and Trust objectives. There will be an expectation that candidates have a demonstrable track record of delivering successful service improvement/redesign, working across internal and external organisational boundaries.
Main duties of the job
* To provide managerial, clinical, and professional service leadership for CT departments across the Radiology Care Group.
* To support the CT Site Superintendents to deliver excellent levels of service on their sites.
* To support the Care Group Management Team to deliver on Care Group and Trust objectives.
* To ensure excellent clinical care in Radiology is provided by CT teams across the sites and services.
* To deliver cross-site harmonisation and standardisation of policies, procedures, and practice and provide expert clinical guidance across all sites.
* To optimise utilisation of all available capacity and staffing to meet the demands of the service.
* To be involved in future service developments and strategy.
* To support management and delivery of Trust and Imaging pathways and KPIs.
* To work with other Modality Leads and Service Managers both internal and external to Radiology to deliver effective services.

Job responsibilities
* To operationally lead and manage the CT service and make best use of all KCH staff and non-staff resources to provide best patient care and optimise available capacity to meet demands of the service.
* To attend PTL meetings & support management & prioritisation of patients via Imaging PTL.
* Use KCH Electronic Patient Record (EPIC) to deliver cross-site services and optimise service provision and equality of access to services across KCH.
* To demonstrate advanced clinical competencies and a knowledge base beyond those associated with specialist radiographic roles.
* To communicate effectively with patients, clinicians, and key stakeholders.
* Act as a source of expert knowledge providing clinical and technical advice within the Trust and nationally.
* To lead in the establishment of harmonised CT standards and guidelines ensuring best practice across KCH sites.
* Facilitate the introduction of new clinical techniques and services.
* Actively contribute to relevant meetings and fora.
* Work with Consultant Radiologists and Radiography colleagues to maintain clinical expertise of self and team.
* To provide expert clinical advice in relation to speciality and support the multidisciplinary team.
* To champion the research strategy driving/leading opportunities in innovation to implementation of evidence in to practice in collaboration with other members of the multidisciplinary team and academic partners.
* To undertake ongoing personal, professional and management development in line with the responsibilities of the post.
* To answer complaints and manage incidents in a timely manner and in accordance with the PSIRF framework and working in conjunction with the Radiology Quality and Governance Team.
* To work effectively across all sites and services Care Group in a positive and supportive way, especially in times of service pressure and difficulty.
* To represent the Radiology Care Group at local and regional meetings in a professional and knowledgeable way using a collaborative approach to improve service delivery.
Person Specification
* MSc/PGDip/PGCert in CT
* Extensive clinical experience in CT
* Extensive leadership experience in CT
* Knowledge of current policies and legislation affecting service delivery
* Ability to foster a culture of inclusion and belonging
* Ability to commute to all KCH sites in a planned way and at short notice, when required
* Evidence of multi-modality knowledge
