This is an exciting opportunity for mental health clinicians with excellent clinical and leadership skills to be part of the harmonised 24/7 Crisis Resolution Home Treatment Service in BCHFT.

The successful post holder will work 37.5 hours per week as a Band 7 Senior Lead in CRHTT service over the 24 hour period 7 days a week. The post holder will be expected to work predominantly night duties with occasional requirement to rotate into day shifts for short periods of time. The post holder will be allocated to one of the 4 CRHTTs however there is also the expectation to work across any of the 4 localities whenever necessary.
The post involves clinical leadership, line management responsibilities and deputising in the absence of the Team Manager. This role will also complement and support the existing management structure of the team.
CRHTT is at the forefront of providing an excellent borough wide urgent care mental health service to clients who would otherwise require hospital admission. Therefore CRHTT work collaboratively with our patients, their family/relatives/carers, voluntary sector, local emergency services, and other relevant public/private agencies.
Main duties of the job
* To provide clinical leadership by actively taking lead in complex referrals/cases, and participating in policy and service developments
* To demonstrate advanced competence in highly complex decision making, assessment and the management of clinical needs within the specialist area of practice
* To initiate and contribute towards research and audit within the area of expertise
* To provide regular clinical/managerial supervisions to staff in the team in collaboration with the wider Band 7 CRHTT structure and as per delegation by the CRHTT Manager to achieve compliance to Trust Policy.
* To provide leadership support to the team providing urgent referral triage, MH assessments, and crisis/home treatment interventions as required, including monitoring of clinical standards, audit and adherence to Trust policy.

Essential criteria
* A professional healthcare qualification (Nurse, OT, SW)
* Registration to practice
* Children’s & Vulnerable Adults safeguarding training
* Management Qualification or equivalent experience
* Clinical Supervision Training/Qualification
Experience
Essential criteria
* Significant Post-graduate experience of working in mental health to include CRHT & Urgent Care Services.
* Comprehensive experience of multi-disciplinary work
* Strategic management approach, effective leadership experience
* Involvement in research and/or clinical evaluation and audit
* Detailed knowledge of NHS and other legislation and policy pertinent to service e.g. CRT Fidelity Model
* Experience of community working
* Experience of leading on a project, evaluation, audit
